Brochures & Leaflets

Copywriting for print

The printed word is still important, despite the power of the web and the online world.

Brochures, leaflets and flyers can have a significant impact on brand recognition. Used strategically, they can produce valuable leads and new business. With so much competition online, the quality of brochure copywriting and leaflet copywriting matters more than ever.

Carefully positioned as part of a wider marketing campaign, leaflets and brochures complement other activities, locally, nationally and online.  They can be included in larger mail-outs and support long term awareness as well as eliciting an immediate response.

Copywriting - how it works for brochures & leaflets

The first discussion

I’ll want to find out as much as possible about you and your business. I’ll want to understand your audience and what you intend to achieve with the brochure or leaflets - or a series of either.

I'll need to properly understand what you're selling or promoting. To get the best results, I'll also need to understand the format and design of what you intend to publish, ideally with a physical copy to help me envisage how the content will work.

At this stage we'll also discuss prices and timescales.

A proposal

From our discussion I’ll create a proposal which sets out in detail what I understand the commission is, including time scales, frequencies, if it is for more than one piece, and my charges.  What we agree at this point becomes the basis of our agreement.

Research, writing and delivery

Once the details of the commission are agreed, I’ll get started on the research and understanding your target audiences and how to capture their attention. My price includes the first draft and up to to rounds of revisions if required.  Thus I'll make sure you have copy in plenty of time so you can suggest amendments if need be.
