Ghost writing describes the arrangement where the writer is not the same as the named author.
While that easily includes blogs and white papers, this page is about longer projects, and fiction or non-fiction as required.
Previous projects include technical documentation, autobiographies, short stories, and longer fiction for different age ranges.
So if you've had a project on the back burner, or need an experienced writer to bring your ideas to life, why not get in touch?
Thank you for getting in touch. .
I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
If you're going to entrust me with quite a personal project, we'll need to get to know each other. Our first meeting - in person or online - will be an important opportunity to start this process.
We'll need to allocate enough enough time for a good discussion. But don't worry; this is not on the clock. It's important to start off with strong foundations for a good working relationship, so I consider this time an investment.
We'll need to establish aims and ambitions and how the work will eventually be published. We'll need to agree a time scale that works for us both and you'll need to be happy with the basis of my charges.
Amongst other things, I’ll need to know
From our first meeting I’ll create a proposal which sets out in detail what I understand the commission to be, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
When we have agreed the commission details we can start. I'll schedule my own research and that will be helped considerably by material you can supply yourself.
If the work is auto-biographical , and sometimes when it isn't, we'll probably need subsequent conversations. I find it helpful to record these to capture detail and your own turns of phrase. I will delete the recordings when the work is complete.
As the project progresses I can supply drafts of each section or chapter and there will be an opportunity to review the whole thing as it nears completion.
I’ll deliver the first draft on or before the date agreed so you'll be able to keep to the publication schedule.
