eBooks come in different forms, depending on their purpose, but they all share similar characteristics. Just like a brochure or handbook in print, they need to be carefully structured and written well.
eBooks deliver your content and message quickly and easily to your readership, wherever they are. Positioned carefully for your audience, an eBook can be a powerful marketing tool.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
is included; it is as relevant to eBooks as it is to anything else which goes online. That said, not all formats for eBooks will be searchable, but most are, so it's definitely worth thinking with SEO in mind.
Thank you for getting in touch. .
I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
This may seem obvious, but before we even speak you need to have a clear idea as to what you want your eBook to achieve.
It's worth considering whether this is the right format for your message. For example, would a series of blogs or a sequence of website landing pages actually be better? However, if your eBook requires the coherence and impact of a single publication, or if it's primarily a lead magnet, then the eBook route could be the best choice and a good return on your investment.
Here I’ll want to find out as much as possible about you and your business. I’ll ask about your competitors and we’ll need to discuss and agree the content of your eBook. I'll need to be clear about the required outcome and this will inform how I approach developing the content.
Amongst other things, I’ll need to know
I’ll make no apology for being a little pushy if I think anything lacks clarity!
We’ll discuss likely prices and timescales.
From our early discussion I’ll create a proposal which sets out in detail what I understand the commission to be, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
Once the commission details are agreed, I’ll set too on the the research for content and SEO, before settling down to write.
I’ll deliver the first draft on or before the date agreed. My price includes that first draft and up to two rounds of revisions if required.
Your eBook is ready to share! I'll check in from time to time to see how it fares, especially if you are planning a sequence built on the first one we produce.
